- Kershaw underwent shoulder surgery in November 2023 to repair ligaments in his left shoulder
- He missed the start of the 2024 season recovering from that surgery
- In July 2024, he was activated off the injured list after missing the first half of the season
- On August 30, 2024, he suffered a bone spur injury in his left big toe while pitching against the Arizona Diamondbacks
- This toe injury kept him out for the remainder of the regular season and entire postseason
- He only made 7 starts in 2024, pitching 30 innings with a 2-2 record and 4.50 ERA, all career lows
